The Advantages of Green Building for Humans

 We are a Green Building consultant, this is not the case, despite the initial impression that "green building" initiatives solely assist the environment at the price of human comfort and costs. Environmental health is viewed holistically by proponents of eco-friendly design, who factor in human well-being when making decisions. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency outlines three objectives for green building initiatives: lowering waste and pollution, improving the building occupants' productivity and health, and increasing the efficiency with which water, energy, and other resources are used.


 

As a Green Building consultancy, the high expenses frequently linked to being green are typically the outcome of renovating an older building or putting new technology in a new one. Renewable energy generators that produce electricity on-site, such as wind or photovoltaic solar panels, can have expensive startup costs and are only sometimes practical for certain types of buildings. However, Energy Star-certified energy-efficient appliances frequently cost the same as conventional appliances, and installing ceiling fans can reduce the need for air conditioning in a way that is both easy to do and quantifiable. Passive solar heating concepts that use the sun's and the landscape's direction significantly increase the energy efficiency of new construction.

Enhancing the quality of the air and water inside buildings and the tenants' productivity is another objective of green building. According to an EPA study, interior air pollution levels are two to five times greater than outside air pollution. While some contaminants, like secondhand smoke, are directly caused by human activity, others, like radon gas, are the product of natural conditions. However, many of these contaminants are leftovers from the materials utilized to create or furnish the structure. When present in sufficient quantities, volatile organic compounds, or VOCs, can harm one's health.

In our opinion as Green Building consultant, these substances are most frequently found inside paints, solvents, carpets, cleaning supplies, and home appliances. They can also be produced artificially. Green construction initiatives consider the human costs associated with using particular building materials. For example, although asbestos is an excellent insulating material, it poses a severe risk to building occupants. As a result, alternative materials are utilized in its place. Reusing conventional materials, like recycled stone or metal, or utilizing renewable materials, like plant matter and sustainable lumber, are two easy ways green design reduces waste. Industrial wastes such as foundry sand, coal combustion products, and demolition debris can be recycled.

We believe as a Green Building consultancy, Greywater can be processed and used for other non-drinking uses, or it can be used for irrigation. This environmentally conscious building construction can also help the building's residents consume fewer resources overall. To sustain our quality of life, we need to adopt a whole new perspective, and green building is one way to start. It is not enough to replace one building material with another. The advantages are abundantly clear: preventing asbestos exposure, for example, virtually completely prevents mesothelioma symptoms. Beyond the health of an individual, the EPA estimates that buildings account for 38% of the nation's carbon dioxide emissions; however, this percentage can be lowered by using ecologically conscious urban design and architecture.
